12 Projects in 2012 KnitAlong Series!

All KnitAlongs are free of charge with the purchase of your KnitAlong materials. Our KnitAlongs are designed to be convenient for you!  You are not obligated to attend every session, just the ones you want to come to, and we’ll always be there to help! Our KnitAlongs are for those who have either fully completed our “Learn To Knit Series” or are already equipped with the skills needed to execute most intermediate projects. If you would like to enroll in one of our KnitAlongs, you MUST have a mastery level of the following skills: Cast On, Knit, Purl, Increase, Decrease, Knit in the Round, Knitting on Double Points, Bind Off and Fixing Mistakes.

A lovely triangular shawl worked from the bottom up all in one piece. Delicate lace details add a feminine touch to the striped body of the shawl.  This pattern also looks lovely worked as a solid shawl.

Pattern & Info:

Skew takes the concept of the bias design element to a new extreme by turning the entire architecture of the sock, including the heel, on the diagonal. This heel requires neither short rows nor picking up stitches, but it does require a little bit of faith until the origami moment when a short grafted seam transforms an unfamiliarly-shaped object into a finished heel. Don’t let the clean stockinette swaths fool you; the unconventional shaping will keep you on your toes!

The Baby Surprise Jacket is an excellent pattern for making use of oddments of yarn or self striping yarns with long color repeats.  The jacket is knit in a single piece with just two seams that run across the shoulders and down the length of the sleeves. It includes extra ease across the back of the garment to fit well over a diaper. Commonly referred to as the “BSJ”, the baby surprise jacket is “a very entertaining piece of knitted engineering”.
